Online nanny certification at the Nanny Institute costs between $350 and $1,600. Please note that tuition may change without notice and these numbers may be out of date. Tuition depends on which of our six programs you choose. The Basic Childcare Certification runs $350 for 10 hours of training. The Professional Childcare Certification, our top credential, costs $1,600 for 50-60 hours and earns the NCFE CACHE Level 4 qualification. Every program includes tuition, course materials, the proficiency exam, faculty support, and five job placement webinars at no additional charge.

The Nanny Institute publishes one transparent price list. Every program tuition includes a $50 non refundable enrollment fee plus the program tuition.

 

What Tuition Includes at Every Level

Every program covers the full cost of online video coursework via SAP Litmos, faculty authored study guides for every course, end of course quizzes, the program proficiency exam with two attempts allowed, your digital certificate and official transcript on completion, five job placement webinars covering resumes, job search, interviews, compensation negotiation, and work agreements, and faculty and Admissions Office support through your 12 week enrollment window.

You do not pay for textbooks. For each class, you get a study guide and these added together are your textbook. The Nanny Institute publishes all study materials online. You also do not pay any application fees beyond the $50 enrollment fee.

 

Spreading the Cost: The Pay As You Go Option

If buying the bundled program outright does not fit your cash flow, the Nanny Institute offers a pay as you go path. Students buy 10 hours of classes at a time for $350. Levels must be completed in order: Basic, then Intermediate, Advanced, Specialist, and Professional.

The total cost across all five levels comes to more than buying the bundled program. The monthly impact is smaller. Most students who pay as you go finish the full ladder over 8 to 12 months.

 

The Newborn to Professional Bridge

Many students start with Newborn Care because it stands alone. After completing Newborn Care, the bridge to Professional Childcare costs $900 instead of the full $1,600 Professional tuition. Scholarships Available

The Nanny Institute offers two annual scholarships for high school graduates who plan a childcare career. The Nivens Scholarship covers Basic Childcare ($350) with an application deadline of September 15 each year. The Herk Scholarship covers Intermediate Childcare ($700) with an application deadline of April 30 each year. Each scholarship awards one student per cycle.

 

Is Tuition Tax Deductible?

Tuition may qualify as a tax deduction if the program connects to your employment as a sitter, nanny, or childcare provider. The Internal Revenue Service treats job related continuing education differently from initial qualification training. Consult an accountant for your specific situation. IRS Topic 513 on work related education (irs.gov/taxtopics/tc513) explains the framework.

The Nanny Institute does not generate 1098-T forms because the programs do not qualify for federal financial aid. We also do not participate in FAFSA.

How Nanny Institute Pricing Compares

The Nanny Institute holds NCFE CACHE Level 4 accreditation (ncfe.org.uk), the only US online nanny program currently accredited at that level. Faculty hold Master’s or Doctoral degrees. Comparable accredited credentials at four year early childhood programs cost five to ten times more and require campus attendance.

Can I complete a Nanny Institute program while working full-time?
Yes. The programs are 100% on-demand video with 24/7 access, specifically designed to work around a full-time schedule. The 12-week enrollment window gives significant flexibility. Most students working at a pace of 4-6 hours per week complete the Basic, Intermediate pr Newborn Care program within 2-3 weeks of that window.
What happens if I don't finish within the 12-week period?
Contact the Nanny Institute directly if you are approaching the end of your enrollment period without completing the program. Extensions may be available depending on circumstances. The important thing is to communicate before the window closes rather than after.
Can I start the next certification level immediately after finishing one?
Yes. Once you complete and pass a level, you can enroll in the next level immediately. The Enroll As You Go payment option allows you to pay for each level separately, so there is no financial barrier to continuing without delay if your budget allows it.
Is the proficiency exam timed?
The Nanny Institute program exam is multiple choice and taken online through your student account. Students have 2 attempts to complete this exam, earning a score of 80% or better (40 out of 50 questions). The exam has a 2-hour time limit. The study guides and per-course quizzes throughout the program are specifically designed to prepare you to pass the exam.
